I like twist front details on dresses and tops so when I found this pattern Burda #6911 I knew it was one that I wanted to try as an alternative to the Joni dress by Tilly and the Buttons.

I have had the viscose jersey from Fabricland, Salisbury in my stash for a long time. It was bought specifically to make a top in the Autumn as it features Autumnal motifs of greenery, berries and flowers on a Cream background.
The twist feature of the top caused some head scratching that was not helped by the fine drape of the fabric but I got there in the end. The twist comes quite low down and I have to wear a camisole underneath to protect my modesty.

The only alteration that I made was to reduce the length of the sleeves by 4 inches (probably a little too much) as it appears that I have very short arms! I like the twist feature very much and will probably make the dress version some time in the future.
